Safer Internet Day

Friday, February 8th, 2019

This week in the Owls, we marked national Safer Internet Day by inviting our local police constables in. We took part in a brilliant and informative e-safety workshop and had lots of constructive discussion around how to stay safe online. We discussed video games and apps in relation their age ratings – some of us were quite surprised at how high the age ratings were on some well-known apps and games!

The most important messages from the afternoon were:

  • to make sure whatever you do online (whether it be games or apps) you discuss with your parents or a trusted adult who can help you to be safe online
  • it is your responsibility to make sure you’re safe online – whether it be through your own actions or through a discussion with a trusted adult.

Thank you Leah and Neil!
